About

This department is an important constituent of the Faculty of Science since 1956, the year when it was established, with its proficiency in taught programmes and strong research projects of excellence it has made significant contributions in the study of Mathematics in the country.

The Department has an interdisciplinary centre – Centre for Mathematical Biology and Ecology (CMBE)- established by the University in 1997.
