About

Since its inception, the Department of Physics at Jadavpur University has had a strong programme in Nuclear Physics. At a later date, this was reinforced by the commencement of work in Particle and High-Energy :Physics. The Nuclear and Particle Physics Research Centre has been established very recently to build upon this base and advance this line of research in the University, through systematic expansion of national and international collaboration.

Facilities Available

• Participating in Large Hadron Collider (LHC) experiment at CERN as member of ALICE-CERN Collaboration - As a collaborating institute, Jadavpur University Group is taking part in RUN 3 experiment of LHC at CERN. The group is effectively contributing in both data analysis and FoCal detector development to achieve novel physics goal.
